Your first capture
Save your first clip step by step
This walkthrough saves one page to Notion. The same flow works for Feishu, Obsidian and local files.
Step 1 — Open the side panel
Go to any article or page, then click the Uniclip icon to open the side panel. Make sure Single capture mode is selected at the top.
Step 2 — Select target
The side panel shows two steps: Select target and Configure save.
- Choose a data type
- Unstructured — articles, notes and free-form documents.
- Structured — tables and databases with fixed fields.
- Choose a platform from the list (e.g. Notion). Platforms that need connecting show a small badge — click Integrations to set them up.
- Choose a container, such as a specific Notion database. Use the search box to filter by name or type.
Step 3 — Configure save
On the Configure save step:
- Uniclip uses smart extraction to pull the main content automatically.
- Edit the title, review the content preview, and switch between plain text and HTML if needed.
- Add optional tags, and map fields to your destination (or pick a template).
Step 4 — Save
Click Save. You'll see a confirmation that your content was saved to the platform. Open your Notion database to see the new entry — with the source link kept automatically.
What's next
- Learn the different ways to capture content.
- Collect many items at once with batch capture.
